Thanks to a good friend of mine, I will be starting a new adventure in “Stuff That Involves Yarn” – handspinning. One of my gifts this holiday was a low whorl drop spindle and two lovely bunches of wool. Ye olde interweb will be teaching me on this one, and I can’t wait to find some time to start. It’s one of those things that will require my undivided attention at first, but it’ll be fun to say that I made something from [almost] start to finish.
Sewing update – I’ve started the transformation of my senior prom gown into a Ren-ish kirtle/underdress. Dress diary to come.
Musical update – My ocarina is sitting peacefully on my hobby table…untouched for months now…I promise that I will master the scales by the next faire season.
Reading update – I finally started Hero of Ages.
