I started the skirt for “Lady Corvina” and realized that the corduroy is lighter than I want. I’m flatlining the panels (3 @ 45″) with white cotton sheeting–not the ideal choice, but I’m not going to Jomar’s anytime soon. Tomorrow’s goal is to finish attaching the flatlining, get the interfacing ironed, and to prep the cartridge pleating materials….
Here’s to hoping that I have what I need lying around.
I also hemmed the kirtle and took up the straps, as planned. Unfortunately, the farthingale is uneven (because it’s a hideous monster), and can be seen under the hem. Since I’m not getting any taller, I’ll make adjustments to the farthingale as a last step in the project. I won’t let it beat me!
