Not only am I going through faire withdrawal (it’s been three weeks this Saturday), but I also have a ton of stuff going on that is impeding my sewing progress. I “finished” my gown–technically, I have to sew a clasp to the front of the doublet, add trim to the front seams (in the car project), and hem the skirt (yeah, still not done). The sleeves and attifet were quick and easy, and I think they turned out really well. Regardless of what my ensemble still needs, the husband’s costume had to get started. Yesterday, I measured, and tonight, I traced the pattern pieces for his slops. I’m sleepy, so I’ll do the pattern alterations and start cutting tomorrow.
You know what would be awesome? Getting the slops done this weekend. If, by some miracle, that happened, I could probably sleep next week. Oh, well.
