2010 was amazing for our little family, so we’re optimistic for 2011!
Corset construction has been paused while we finish up the holiday weekend, but I should be able to look at the Tower today, if only to tidy it up. I did make a supply trip to the hardware store and to the fabric/craft store (yay), so I’m currently reorganizing the craft bins. I grabbed a paint stirrer from Lowe’s for the corset busk, but found that Joann’s has wood that I can cut down, which is more desirable after examining the paint stirrer. I picked up a 2″ x 24″ piece of basswood that I hope to cut today or tomorrow. I’m still in the fitting stage for the project, after shortening the pattern 2″, feeling nervous about it all night, and adding 1″ back in. It’s closer to the length of my MA and AlterYears corsets now. I hope to be ready to assemble by Tuesday.
