Working quietly

I am slowly, but surely getting through this corset. I only get a couple of hours each evening when I don’t have anything else scheduled, so it’s taking longer than expected. I do, however, see the end. I’m currently slip-stitching the binding, busk cutting is tomorrow, and eyelets will hopefully be done on Sunday.

I took a trip to Joann’s for a few key sale items, and, once again, was able to stick to the script. The main reason for the trip was Butterick 5580 for $1.99–sword holder, bracers, pauldrons, pouches, feather pin. I don’t know how I missed the release of this one, and I can’t wait to design the ensemble it’s going with…one day.

There’s not much to report until the corset is done, and I can plan the next piece (hopefully the bodice). I’m creating a “Pattern Library” page for my own benefit so that I can avoid buying the same pattern twice, and so that I can access my pattern bins from anywhere. Honestly, I forget what I have most days. I should have the pattern list entered this weekend…probably during the Ravens-Steelers game…so that I can focus on something else…so that my heart doesn’t beat out of my chest…GO RAVENS!

Thanks for reading!
