My First Tudor

Tudor gown, Margo Anderson patterns

The pattern was released, and even though I had already bought the Simplicity version, I had to have it.  I have wanted to start this project, but once I get started, I won’t want to stop for paying projects.  The story so far: mulberry heavy linen kirtle with a blue (satin-feel) forepart, embroidered green cotton gown, foresleeves and french hood – TBD.

11/09/10 – So, a funny thing happened to the fabric for this gown…a portion of it was used here.  I’ll need to pick-up a replacement for the kirtle, but I should have enough for the outer gown and the forepart.  I still haven’t picked out sleeve fabric.  Something will strike my fancy, and this will get made!

  1. Your gold dress with s
Asked sleeves looks amazing. Did you use a pattern and if so which one?

    1. Thank you, Anne! The gold dress pattern was from Margo Anderson’s Elizabethan Ladies’ Set.
